Berger Award for Excellence in Architecture (BAEA) Opens Nominations for Its 12th Edition

Berger Paints Bangladesh Limited, in association with the Institute of Architects Bangladesh (IAB), has officially opened nominations for the 12th edition of the Berger Award for Excellence in Architecture (BAEA).

Recognising outstanding contributions to the built environment, BAEA has established itself as one of Bangladesh’s significant platforms for celebrating architectural excellence and acknowledging projects that demonstrate quality, innovation, and meaningful design impact.

Architects are invited to nominate up to three realised projects located in Bangladesh, provided the projects have been completed within the last five years. The initiative offers an important opportunity for architectural practitioners to bring forward projects that reflect excellence in design, spatial thinking, contextual response, and contribution to the country’s evolving architectural landscape.

Over the years, the Berger Award for Excellence in Architecture has played a notable role in documenting and recognising the diverse body of contemporary architectural work emerging from Bangladesh. The award continues to encourage critical discourse around architecture while highlighting the importance of design quality in shaping the country’s built environment.

The deadline for project nominations is September 17, 2026.

Interested architects and firms can submit their nominations through the official nomination form and review the detailed prospectus for eligibility criteria, submission requirements, and other information.
