Arch Summit 2025 Ignites Architectural Innovation in Dhaka
Dhaka, The much-anticipated ArchSummit 2025 is underway in Dhaka, bringing together leading architects, designers, planners, and built-environment professionals from across Bangladesh and abroad. Organised by the Institute of Architects Bangladesh (IAB) as part of the larger IAB Build Expo 2025, the summit serves as a dynamic platform to explore the evolving role of architecture in shaping sustainable, resilient, and people-centred cities.

The summit’s opening has showcased an exciting lineup of keynote presentations, panel discussions, and technical sessions focused on pressing issues in contemporary architecture, urban development, and construction innovation. Among the highlights is a special closing lecture by Roberto Bannura, Partner at Steven Holl Architects, titled “Architecture as a Social Platform,” emphasising architecture’s social responsibility and its potential to drive community growth and inclusivity.
Across multiple stages and exhibits, participants are engaging with cutting-edge ideas on sustainable design, climate-responsive architecture, and modern construction technologies. The summit also features an international exhibition where firms and innovators display advanced solutions that respond to Bangladesh’s unique urban challenges.

This year’s event reflects a growing global interest in integrating resilient design practices into fast-developing contexts like Dhaka. With rapid urbanisation and heightened environmental risks, discussions at Arch Summit 2025 highlight the urgency of adaptive strategies that balance heritage, ecology, and technological progress.
In addition to professional exchange, the summit fosters collaboration between architects, developers, policymakers, and educators, offering networking opportunities that could influence future projects throughout the region.

As the summit continues, attendees and observers alike are optimistic that the insights and partnerships forged here will contribute significantly to the future of architecture in Bangladesh and South Asia.
