MGI Launches Fresh Sanitaryware

MGI Launches Fresh Sanitaryware

Dhaka, August 22, 2026: Meghna Ceramic Industries Limited (MCIL), a concern of Meghna Group of Industries (MGI), has formally launched its new sanitaryware range under the brand name Fresh.Carrying the tagline “Flawlessly Fresh,” the new product line focuses on superior whiteness, enhanced gloss, smooth finishing and higher glaze hardness, positioning the brand around durability, quality and visual cleanliness.

The launch marks a significant expansion for Fresh, which entered Bangladesh’s ceramics market in 2021. Following the growth and market acceptance of Fresh Ceramics over the past five years, MGI is now extending the brand into the country’s growing sanitaryware segment.

The official unveiling ceremony was held at MCIL’s factory in Ashariachar, Narayanganj. MGI Chairman and Managing Director Mostafa Kamal formally unveiled the product line alongside Vice Chairman Beauty Akter, Directors Tahmina Mostafa, Tanjima Mostafa and Tanveer Mostafa, and MCIL COO AKM Ziaul Islam.

Speaking at the launch, Mostafa Kamal said that the company’s experience in the construction materials sector and the trust built through its ceramic products had encouraged MGI to expand into sanitaryware.

“Building on this experience and trust, we have now introduced Fresh Sanitaryware following the success of Fresh Ceramics. By placing the highest importance on quality, uninterrupted supply and customer trust, we aim to establish Fresh Sanitaryware as a reliable brand in the sector.”

MGI has invested approximately Tk 300 crore in the sanitaryware venture. The manufacturing facility has a production capacity of around 60,000 pieces per month and is expected to create employment opportunities for more than 600 people.

Fresh Sanitaryware is initially entering the market with six pedestal basin models, two one-piece water commodes, three two-piece water commodes and three squatting pans. The products are manufactured using imported glaze materials, modern production technology and high-quality finishing processes.

The initial collection will be available in white, with plans to introduce additional colours and designs in response to market demand. The company also intends to expand its portfolio with products including table-top basins and urinals.

Currently, the company uses imported raw materials sourced from Thailand, Malaysia, Egypt, India, Germany and China.

Director Tanjima Mostafa said the expansion reflects changing expectations within Bangladesh’s construction materials market, where consumers increasingly seek greater choice, quality and reliability.

“Launching Fresh Sanitaryware strengthens our position by emphasising quality ceramic products, design and performance. Our goal is to offer more solutions for modern homes and buildings.”

Beyond ceramics and sanitaryware, MGI’s wider building materials portfolio includes cement, steel, bricks and blocks, and construction stone. With this latest expansion, the group continues to consolidate its presence across multiple segments of Bangladesh’s rapidly evolving construction ecosystem.
